Multi-Award winning video game composer Chase Bethea has released the pre-order original soundtrack for Sunken Stones.

Chase was tasked with trying to bring back the sound of the Caribbean for Pirates instead of perpetuating the Western and European sound of what Pirates have been in Hollywood, specifically the Disney film franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. Chase took up the mantle to revive and incorporate the culture back into game music.

Goldenrod Citypop: Gold & Silver is a double album that takes you on twin journeys through the Johto region and beyond! With nearly 30 tracks honoring the upcoming 25th anniversary of the 2nd gen Pokémon, these releases recapture this era through the lens of classic citypop. Virtual Video Game Orchestra is proud to present our twentieth project, “Hikari 〜 Simple and Clean” from Kingdom Hearts, along with end credits arrangement “Dearly Beloved” from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep! Together, these two performances feature 190 submissions on 47 unique instruments from 79 individual players across the global video game music community.

I celebrated getting my new 5.0 octave marimba by arranging one of my favorite songs from DELTARUNE Chapter 2 as a marimba solo!

Split Screen is back with one of game music’s greatest hits, “National Park!” Their refreshing  take on the tune combines the aesthetics of mid/late 90s jazz fusion with one of gaming’s most iconic themes- you don’t want to miss this!

House-like remix for the 2024 Halloween season. I may have never been brave enough to play these stages myself, but this and Mystic Mansion are among my most memorable tunes from Sonic Heroes!

WMGSO will perform their Fall 2024 concert at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center on the Northern Virginia Community College in  Alexandria, Va. on Saturday, November 23rd at 6:00 pm Eastern. This performance will feature a suite from the Traveler Symphony from the game, Journey, as well as a collection of arrangements inspired by Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Helldivers 2, UNDERTALE, and more. Reno Video Game Symphony is pleased to announce its Winter 2024 concert will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00pm at the Procter R. Hug High School Theater. This concert features the RVGS Jazz Band, Orchestra, & Choir, as well as special performances by the strings focused Reno Anime Orchestra and a trio of RVGS leaders. Come and hear music from games like Final Fantasy, Mario, Monster Hunter, Spiritfarer, and Solstice! As with all our concerts, this concert is free and open to all ages.

Marco Schirripa is organizing a consortium to support the creation of 7 new concert works for marimba by VGM composers, including Austin Wintory, Laura Intravia, Jamie Wind Whitmarsh, Star Victoria Power (Slide20XX), and others! The project is accepting contributions from performers and VGM lovers. Different levels of support can be made in exchange for recognition in video and album notes up to receiving sheet music of the pieces upon completion, along with temporary performance exclusivity!
